WHO AM I?

I am a child of God  (Jn 1:12). But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

I am the salt of the earth  (Matt 5:13). Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.

I am the light of the world  (Matt 5:14). Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

I am Christ's friend  (Jn 15:15). Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.

I am chosen and appointed by Christ to bear His fruit  (Jn 15:16). Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

I am a servant of righteousness  (Rom 6:18). Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

I am God’s servant  (Rom 6:22). But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
I am a son of God  (Rom 8:14; Gal 3:26; 4:6). For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

I am a joint heir with Christ, sharing His inheritance with Him  (Rom 8:17). And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

I am a temple, a dwelling place, of God. His Spirit dwells in me  (1 Cor 3:16; 6:19). Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

I am joined to the Lord and one spirit with Him  (1 Cor 6:17). But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.

I am a member of Christ's Body  (1 Cor 12:27; Eph 5:30). Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.

For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.

I am a new creation  (2 Cor 5:17). Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

I am a saint   (1 Cor 1:2)  To the church of God that is in Corinth, to those sanctified in Christ Jesus called to be saints together with all those who in every place call upon the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, both their Lord and ours:
 I am a fellow citizen with the rest of God's family  (Eph 2:19). Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;

I am a prisoner of Christ  (Eph 4:1). I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,

I am righteous and holy  (Eph 4:24). And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

I am a citizen of Heaven  (Eph 2:6). But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ,

I am an elect of God, holy and dearly beloved  (Col 3:12; 1 Thess 1:4). Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;

Knowing, brethren beloved, your election of God.

I am a son of light and not of darkness  (1 Thess 5:5). Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

I am a member of a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people  (1 Pet 2:9-10). But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: 10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

I am an enemy of the devil  (1 Pet 5:8). Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

I am a child of God and that wicked one, the devil, cannot touch me  (1 Jn 5:18). We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but
he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.

I am not the great I am  (Ex 3:14; Jn 8:24, 28, 58), but by the grace of God, I am what I am (1 Cor 15:10). And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.

But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them—yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.

Since I am in Christ, by the grace of God. . .

I have been buried with him in baptism (Rom 6:4; Col 2:12), In His name (Acts 2:38). Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

I have received power from on high (Luke 24:49) by receiving the Holy Ghost (Acts 2:38) And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

I have been justified, completely washed and sanctified  (Rom 5:1; I Cor 6:11). Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

I am free forever from condemnation  (Rom 8:1).  There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

I have received the Spirit of God into my life that I might know the things freely given to me by God  (1 Cor 2:12).  Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

I have been given the mind of Christ  (1 Cor 2:16).  For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

I have been bought with a price; I am not my own; I belong to God  (1 Cor 6:19-20). What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.

I have been blessed with every spiritual blessing  (Eph 1:3).  Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

I was chosen in Christ before the foundation of the world to be holy and without blame before Him  (Eph 1:4).  According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
I was predestined, determined by God, to be adopted as God's son  (Eph 1:5) Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children
by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

I have direct access to God through the Spirit  (Eph 2:18). For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.

I may approach God with boldness, freedom and confidence  (Eph 3:12).  In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.

I have been rescued from the domain of satan's rule and transferred to the kingdom of Christ (Col 1:13). For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves,

I am firmly rooted in Christ and am now being built up in Him  (Col 2:7). Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.

I have been made complete in Christ  (Col 2:10).  And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power.

I will be saved from wrath  (I Thess 5:9).  For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

I will be resurrected from this world to be with the Lord forever  (I Thess 4:16-17).  For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

I AM ALIVE I DID NOT DIE

When in my grave you lay me down to lie,
Smile I did not die.
Do not stand at my grave and weep,

I am not there, I am just asleep.

Remember me when the winds blow,
And smile because I am with Jesus, you know!
Remember me when the seasons go by,
And smile when my favorite, summer is nigh.
Remember me in the grandchildren I cherish,
And smile I did not perish!
When you awaken in the morning's light,
Smile and remember Heaven is where I’m at, right?
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there, I did not die,
I am living in Heaven, I am alive!

Ten Commandments

THE LORD'S TEN COMMANDMENTS

1. You shall have no other gods before Me. (Exodus 20:3 NKJV)

2. You shall not make for yourself a carved image—any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; (Exodus 20:4 NKJV)

3. You shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments. (Exodus 20:5,6 NKJV)

4. You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain. (Exodus 20:7 NKJV)

5. Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it. (Exodus 20:8-11 NKJV)

6. Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you. (Exodus 20:12 NKJV)

7. You shall not murder. (Exodus 20:13 NKJV)

8. You shall not commit adultery. (Exodus 20:14 NKJV)

9. You shall not steal. (Exodus 20:15 NKJV)

10. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. “You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s. (Exodus 20:16,17 NKJV)

JESUS SAID…

If ye love me, keep my commandments. (John 14:15)

He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. (John 14:21)

If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love. (John 15:10)

Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. (Revelation 14:12)

Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. (Revelation 22:14)

And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all? And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. (Mark 12:28-31 KJV)

A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. (John 13:34 KJV)

This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. (John 15:12-14 KJV)
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. (Matthew 28:18-20 KJV)

THE BIBLE SAYS…

And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. (1 John 2:3)

He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. (1 John 2:4)

For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. (1 John 5:3)

And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us. (1 John 3:22-24 KJV)

Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law. (Romans 13:8-10 KJV)

The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes. Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward. (Psalms 19:7, 8, 11 KJV)

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever. (Psalm 111:10)

Praise ye the LORD. Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, that delighteth greatly in his commandments. (Psalm 112:1)

And I will delight myself in thy commandments, which I have loved. (Psalm 119:47)

Thy hands have made me and fashioned me: give me understanding, that I may learn thy commandments. (Psalm 119:73)

Therefore I love thy commandments above gold; yea, above fine gold. (Psalm 119:127)

My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments: (Proverbs 3:1)

My son, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with thee. Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye. Bind them upon thy fingers, write them upon the table of thine heart. (Proverbs 7:1-3 KJV)

Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. (Ecclesiastes 12:13)

For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life: (Proverbs 6:23)

Thou art near, O LORD; and all thy commandments are truth. Concerning thy testimonies, I have known of old that thou hast founded them for ever. (Psalm 119:151, 152)

Bible Study

Can we make it to heaven if we dont read and study the Bible?  Is it essential to our salvation?  Lets see what Gods Word has to say about it.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (John 1:1 KJV)

What is the Bible and where did it come from?
The Bible is "God's word" to mankind. It is a collection of 66 books, written by 40 different authors, over a period of over 1,500 years. The books of the Bible were written by prophets and disciples who served God. These men were very different from one another. Some were shepherds. Some were kings. Some were well educated. Some had only a little education. Some were rich and some were poor. These men were separated from each other by centuries of time in many cases.

These men may have written the Bible but God was the author.  2 Peter 1:20-21: "Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. (KJV)"

Paul the Apostle says in 2 Timothy 3:16-17, "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work."

The Bible has a single thread which runs through the entire collection of books it contains. That thread is God's plan to save mankind. The Bible is an incredible book of history and facts that proves that there is one God that created all things. Most important of all, the Bible is the Word of God. It contains the mind of God and His will for each one of our lives. That is why the Bible was given to us.

Why should we read The Bible.
We should read the Bible because it is God's Word to us. The Bible is literally "God-breathed" (2 Timothy 3:16). In other words, it is God's very words to us. There are so many questions that people ask that God answers for us in scripture. What is the purpose to life? Where did I come from? Is there life after death? How do I get to heaven?  It answers every important question in life. It explains HOW TO LIVEand reveals the ROAD TO SALVATION.

The Bible equips us to serve God (2 Timothy 3:15,17; Ephesians 6:17; Hebrews 4:12). It helps us know how to be saved from our sin (Acts 2:38). Meditating on Gods Word and obeying its teachings will bring success in life (Joshua 1:8; James 1:25). Gods Word helps us see sin in our lives and helps us get rid of it (Psalm 119:9, 11). It gives us guidance in life, making us wiser than our teachers (Psalm 32:8, 119:99; Proverbs 1:6).  Studying Gods Word helps us to grow spiritually (I Peter 2:2).

The Bible is a book that is not merely for reading. It is a book for studying so that it can be applied.

Why should we study the Bible.
God commands His servants, Study to show yourself approved before God.

II Timothy 2:15 admonishes, Study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.  The apostle Paul tells us that proper Bible study leads to approval from God. As workmen, we need not be ashamedif we study Gods Word.

Rightly dividing the Word of Truthknowing the Bible, inside and outtakes a lifetime. Gods Holy Spirit opens ones mind to this spiritual understanding (Psa. 119:18; John 16:13). True biblical knowledge and understanding come from diligent effort and Gods Spirit working in you.  Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. (1 Corinthians 2:13, 14 KJV).  Ask God to open your understanding as you read His Word.

God expects us to familiarize ourselves with His Word. Only by fully appreciating it will we act on it. Jesus said, “…It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God (Matt. 4:4, quoted from Deut. 8:3). Psalms 119:105 affirms: Your word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

And as Paul admonished Timothy: And that from a child you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus (II Tim. 3:15). He continues in verses 16-17: All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

Taking in the Word of God for spiritual nourishment surpasses the need of taking in physical food. The Bible provides light to avoid pitfalls in the path of life. The Bible gives us wisdom to understand the weighty aspects of salvation.  Bible study is a vital process that does more than teach us.

Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all. Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee. (1 Timothy 4:13, 15, 16 KJV)

This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. (Joshua 1:8 KJV)

As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: (1 Peter 2:2 KJV)

Study His Word...

Study because you love Him.
When you love somebody you want to know everything about them. The way to know about God is to read and study His word (the Bible). The Bible is the way that God has revealed Himself to you directly. It tells you who He is and what He expects of you.

Study so that you have amour to fight the devil.
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12 KJV)

In Ephesians 6:11, Paul instructs the believer to, "Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil." A few verses later in Ephesians 6:17 he explains that part of that armour of God is "... the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God ...." We should go into battle with the devil skillfully wielding a sharp sword.

Study so you do not err according to The Word.
Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God. (Matthew 22:29 KJV)

Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless. And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness. But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen. (2 Peter 3:14-18 KJV)

Study so you will know The Truth.
The Bible gives us the measuring stick by which we can distinguish truth from error.  There are many false teachers in this world today teaching only that what people want to hear (2 Timothy 4:3-4).  It is important to know the Bible so that when someone teaches something that doesnt line up with The Word then we know they are false teachers.

Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; (Jude 1:3, 4, 17 KJV)

Remember ye the words of the apostles... If anyone comes teaching any other doctrine other than what the apostles taught they are teaching false doctrine.

I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. (Galatians 1:6-9 KJV)

Study to cleanse your way.
Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word. (Psalms 119:9)

Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. (Psalms 119:11 KJV)

I have remembered thy name, O Lord, in the night, and have kept thy law. This I had, because I kept thy precepts. Thou art my portion, O Lord : I have said that I would keep thy words. (Psalms 119:55-57 KJV)

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. (Psalms 119:105 KJV)

Study for God's opinions not your own.
Somebody will eventually ask you, "Why do you believe the way you do?". If you have not read and studied God's word then you will just have your own opinions and your own thoughts about God that are not based on the truth that He has revealed in His Word. We can't base facts about God upon our own feelings or thoughts we have to refer to God's Word (The Bible).  How can a person know God if they have never read His Word?  As you study God's word you learn more about Him and create a solid foundation for the things you believe that you can share with others.

Study Bible prophecy.
The most obvious reason to study Bible prophecy is because God said it. About one third of the Word of God is prophecy. The Old Testament prophetic books from Isaiah to Malachi alone are more than twenty percent of the Bible. The book of Revelation and substantial portions of almost every other book of the Bible are also prophetic. Prophecy is found in the teachings of Jesus Christ during His earthly ministry, and in the inspired letters written by Paul, Peter, and Jude. Genesis, the books of the law, the books of Samuel, the books of Kings, and Psalms also contain large amounts of prophecy.

Revelation 1:3 says that those who read or hear prophetic words of the book of Revelation will be blessed. "Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand."

Study for Salvation.
What must I do to be saved?  An age old questioned asked by many.  The Bible clearly answers this question as well.  Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. (Acts 2:37-39 KJV)

The Word of God is infallible. There is no error in God's Word. The law of the Lord is perfect concerning our soul. The testimony of the Lord is not only infallible it is inerrant. Proverbs 30:5-6, "Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him. Do not add to His words, Lest He rebuke you, and you be found a liar." The purity of His words does not need anything added to it. God warns us not to misrepresent His scripture.

The Word of God is complete. The Bible does not need any new chapters or verses. It is all given to us already. Some religions may add their own books or commentaries to the Bible. But, all you need is God's Word because it is the holy Word of God. The Bible warns us what happens to those that add or take away from God's Word.  The Holy Bible It is complete. In Revelation 22:18-19, God gives us this warning, "For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book."

The Word of God is totally authoritative. The book of Psalms 119:89 says "Forever, O LORD, Your Word is settled in heaven." The Word of God is the only source for absolute divine authority. This divine authority is for you and me as servants of Jesus Christ.

Some say reading the Bible is not essential to salvation.  I think I have just proven with God's Word that it is.  Don't take my word for it - search it out for yourself.  You will be blessed!

I offer private in home Bible studies.  If you would like someone to study the Bible with or someone to pray with please feel free to contact me anytime.
